The Nando's Wareca fitout explores contemporary Southern African crafts and materiality, and looks into how they can inform architectural language. Key artwork from talented South African artist Patrick Bongoy provides a spectacular focal point, greeting customers as they enter the store. The extensive weaving and woven texture in the space is inspired by current Southern African fashion, gently guiding customers along circulation paths in the space. The bold colour, pattern and textures are cleverly balanced with a neutral palette that exhibits the natural qualities of the cork, timber and brick finishes.
