Stomping Ground is a Melbourne based brewery bringing people from all walks together, which couldn’t be more relevant for an airport lounge. An Australian first and fourth for the world, the design centres around and showcases Stomping Grounds working brewery tanks which are visible from almost every seat. The designed space provides an industrial-vintage feel that reflects the brands inner city Collingwood beginnings, and quicky tram like seating provide a historic nod to the iconic trams known to Melbourne. A large central bar at its heart is framed by a timber molding ceiling as well as wall panelling providing warmth and softness to the expansive space of the beer hall, and well needed acoustic relief. Bold murals from local Melbourne based artist Justine McAllister anchor a strong locale presence and reference the vibrant urban culture of Melbourne.
