Placed smack bang in the middle of upmarket St Collins Lane, OYG Espresso Bar is a slice of Italy with an on-the-go service style reminiscent of traditional Italian stand-only espresso bars.

The concept of time – or busy CBD patrons’ lack of it– feeds into the metaphor of the space itself. It takes inspiration from an upmarket timepiece (such as a Rolex or pocket watch) and adorns the shopping centre like a prized accessory. Patrons circulate around the kiosk like the clockwise movement of a watches’ big and little hand. The logo reflects this metaphor, incorporating the ‘Y’ into the circulating of the watch within a circle reminiscent of the dial of a watch.
