The Notting Hill Hotel’s Taproom is an institution in Melbourne’s Eastern Suburbs for university students, families and locals alike.

Studio Y. was invited to create a recognisable brand for the bar that would bring together the local community and reflect the down-to-earth values of the neighborhood hotel. Fondly referred to as “man’s best friend”, the humble dog was chosen as a symbol of the bar, reflecting loyalty, friendship and sociability. The elegant form of the greyhound was chosen in particular to reflect the Art Deco theme of the bar’s interior design and furnishings.
