Stomping Ground Brewery
Stomping Ground Brewery
“Make it look 100 years old.” Collingwood, back in the day, was once the epicentre of brewing in Melbourne; but when Steve Jeffares decided to open Stomping Ground in 2016, it was the first brewery to open in the neighbourhood in nearly a century. T
his became the conceptual cornerstone for Stomping Ground Brewery & Beer Hall. Studio Y converted the Gipps Street warehouse into a multipurpose space, fitted out with a beer garden, central bar and exposed brewery. The interior nods to 1920s blue collar nostalgia with reclaimed brick, a roaring fireplace and train station clocks.

THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS – Here’s where you can see the good stuff being made. Stomping Ground is proud of the blood, sweat and tears that goes into producing its beer, and the fact that punters can sit amongst the vats that made it.
